IK ready to lead Haqooq-e-Karachi rally today

Imran arrived Karachi today and tells media that he is here to solve city's problems. He further added that he is coming out today to ask for the basic citizen rights for the people of Karachi. He says that taxes of Karachi citizens should be spent on them and must not be taken out from the country. Moreover while addressing to the citizens in a video message he asked citizens of Karachi to stand up for their rights and join his Haqooq-e Karachi rally to give a clear and daring message to the Sindh government. Expressing his sorrow on the current condition of Karachi, PTI chief added, “Karachi was a better place when I used to frequently visit the city 30-35 years back." Protest venue at M A Jinnah road is decorated with party flags, and echoes with party songs and slogans. A huge number of enthusiastic young boys and girls, men and women are participating in the rally. Asad Umar  anticipates huge crowd in today's rally. Captain will address the rally at Jail Chowrangi.

Corporal punishment claims boy’s life in Nasirabad

Image by Google.com A student of Class-III on Friday lost his life reportedly because of corporal punishment by his teacher in  Dera Murad Jamali . Syed Nazar Shah, the teacher, was immediately taken into custody.  Ten-year-old Amanullah Solangi went to Government Primary School in Shah Baig village of Nasirabad district. According to sources, he was subjected to severe beating by Mr Shah over some mistake. The boy was taken to hospital where he died. The medics confirmed Solangi had serious wounds on his body.  Villagers placed the body on the main Quetta-Sukkur Highway and held a protest against the teacher. They raised slogans and demanded the teacher’s arrest. Traffic remained disrupted for quite some time.  The protest was called off after the local administration assured the grieving family that action would be taken against the teacher and school.
