Operative part of news leak inquiry report to be made public

Government has decided to public the operative part of the DAWN leak inquiry report through a notification by the interior ministry. “The interior ministry will issue a notification about the news leaks this week. This notification will carry the operative part of the recommendations of the committee,” Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah told Dawn on Monday. He further added that Prime Minister has approved the committee's report including para 18 that is the operative part of the inquiry report. Moreover this action will settle down all the speculations going around related to civil-military relationship and will disappoint those who where predicting serious tension between civil government and the military ,claims Rana Sanaullah. Some reliable sources tell that in light of the rumors going around about the inquiry report, the interior ministry will issue the notification today most probably.
Previously, prime minister had discussed the matter, including the military’s reaction to his office’s directive, with his aides and decided to make public the operative part of the committee’s recommendations. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, the interior minister, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, his son Hamza Shahbaz and the Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary Fawad Hasan Fawad were present in the meeting at Sharif's residence in Raiwand.

Corporal punishment claims boy’s life in Nasirabad

Image by Google.com A student of Class-III on Friday lost his life reportedly because of corporal punishment by his teacher in  Dera Murad Jamali . Syed Nazar Shah, the teacher, was immediately taken into custody.  Ten-year-old Amanullah Solangi went to Government Primary School in Shah Baig village of Nasirabad district. According to sources, he was subjected to severe beating by Mr Shah over some mistake. The boy was taken to hospital where he died. The medics confirmed Solangi had serious wounds on his body.  Villagers placed the body on the main Quetta-Sukkur Highway and held a protest against the teacher. They raised slogans and demanded the teacher’s arrest. Traffic remained disrupted for quite some time.  The protest was called off after the local administration assured the grieving family that action would be taken against the teacher and school.
