Power devolution is important for development in Karachi: Imran Khan

While addressing in labour day speech to traders gathering in Karachi Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairperson compared KP and Sindh government asserting that the main difference between both governments is devolution of power. "The more you devolve power the more efficient your systems will be. Devolution is really important for Karachi. The current set-up is neither here nor there," he said. While stressing on the importance of giving power and authority to the lower most level of the government he also discussed police reforms, nepotism and tax collection as major issues.
Talking about police reforms in KP, he said that after the implication of reforms, police system in KP stands at a much better position from where it used to be in near past. "How did we improve KP's policing? We installed IG Nasir Durrani and gave him authority," he told.
He discussed corruption as PTI's major achievements in KP. He added that KP is getting record investments because of its crystal clear money dealings. Moreover while talking on tax collection, Imran Khan said that Federal board of revenue (FBR) is the apex authority of tax collection. He further added that Pakistan is a very generous nation that give more in charity than in tax, so people of Pakistan must be provided with the environment preferable for them to pay tax where they can see clearly their tax money being invested for the betterment.

He ended his labor day speech by acknowledging traders of their importance in country's economy and directing Asad Umar to make a committee for registering and notifying trader's concerns.
